Welcome to my blog!

As a graduate of the Class of 2020, I am one of many who had plenty of extra time at home this summer to ponder the age old post-grad question, "Now what?" (Thanks, COVID!)

I've been teaching private and group guitar lessons for a few years now, so I continued to teach after making the switch to online distance learning. (Thanks, Zoom! No sarcasm this time.) As I continued to manage during these uncertain times, I decided to start a new project to begin this next stage of my career. I started posting videos on YouTube, the first being a reaction to a music video by a band I found recently that made me think, "Where have you been all my life?" I posted another reaction video, followed by a video addressing some of the pros and cons of being a lefty guitarist. I plan to create more content like this in the future as a way to remain creative and engaged with the music community, especially now that so many usual events such as live music have been cancelled or otherwise largely altered for the foreseeable future. This part of my website was created not only to compliment my YouTube channel, but also to stand alone as a fully-functioning blog. It is my hope that through this project, as well as my approach to distance music education, I can find more ways to connect with others and promote community and the joy of music. I'll be writing about my experience thus far, my journey of learning music, my time in college, reflections on various topics, and more! Thanks for reading, and I hope you'll stay tuned for the next blog post!
